| Do you reckon kids should have access/play 18 (or 15 actually) games whilst being underage? |

| I think it is up to the parent to rule over their kids gaming life. Like I know my 14 year old friend loves GTA5 and plays it all the time. But me, an almost 16 year old, is still not allowed to play it. |

I quite like how it works right now (in a non-legal way). I like the idea that parents can decide whether their children are allowed access to such things, but rather than have it as a legal age to have access to it, I think it should be a recommended maturity age. So this automatically brings movies down by a age rating (or maybe two). A move that is rated 15 (which may only be so because of a few swear words) should be rated a 12. Some conservatives may disagree and say that the children should be shielded from such language to set a good example but I think if swear words lose their meaning then they can no longer be considered rude (but that's discussion for another day). GTA V, on the other hand, is a debate and a half. I support the fact it's rated 18 because of how much violence it promotes as a franchise, but - again - it should be down to the parent to decide if their child is mature enough to play it without being influenced so much by it. Even GTA V's campaign as a torture mission in it so I don't think many people would disagree with me there. I'm tempted to go onto ramble about other 18 rated things, but I'll keep myself on a leash

| i feel like its also a parent choice... But parents need to keep there kids on check when playing these type of games... Because i don't want to hear a twelve year old cuss me out.. (which has happened). They need to be respectful along with the adults that are playing with the young children. |

I myself only own two 18-rated games. One of them is Fallout: New Vegas - okay, I get that. The other is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. So many under-18s enjoy Skyrim that I have a hard time taking its '18' rating seriously. Granted, it does contain too many mature themes for me to recommend it to a 10-year-old, but there are a lot of younger teenagers who can handle that kind of thing. I guess that's best decided by parents, though. |

Skyrim is 18 where you are? It is a 15 here Aren't ratings kind of pointless, the only thing they stop is young people from buying them in a store, you can still easily download games |

Ikr? It kinda pointless. Most of the time the ratings get ignored and underage people still play the rated game. |

| But it does stop many kids from playing them. They do work to an extent, just not necessarily to the extent that they are meant to. |
