It does look like that, yes. Not sure how well players are going to take it if it ruins farming completely :P Supercell might well be driving customers away to the myriad of competitors.

It wouldn't ruin farming. It will however, ruin the game for casual players who rely on mines and collectors to save up for upgrades, I.e. Me.

lol
I feel bad for this clans that are named stuff like, "Farming America" and the whole clan farms and doesn't do any wars. For them this will be a real blow.

Meh, they won't suffer if
A) They are active
B) They can actually raid a decent base.

This is because with the new update, more bases which were previously hidden behind shields would be made available. However, these bases will probably be well developed (but have huge loot).

In short, you will face a lot of defences, but more loot will be available on the attack, so if you can attack constantly enough, you can still bring in a profit. Hence, this benefits the active players.

I'm a bit surprised actually, this update was always going to have backlash, but the amount of complaints I've seen is...unprecedented.

I suppose it's because people don't like change, and don't like being told how to play the game. It doesn't matter though, soon the older, 'experienced' players will leave the game, and SC can rake cash in from all the newer players who have never experienced a clash before the current version, and hence won't be able to miss it.

It's a win-win situation for SC anyhow. I don't like this, but I have to admit it's a smart move for them. They don't need to care what the complainers think, as long as money from new players keeps coming in.

It's been a little over 3 years since I started Coc, tons of breaks and ragequits in between, but also fun and laughter. I suppose all good things come to an end. Do I regret the day I stumbled onto Coc in the App Store and decided to give it a try? Hell no. I met new friends, and had a lot of fun, not to mention learned a lot of valuable lessons you might never have expected from a game. Eh, I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for Coc.

I could still play the game of course, just log in daily, collect loot from collectors, but it's only a matter of time before the game ends, and I want to leave it with good memories.

Goodbye Clash of clans.

I can't decide whether to open up the game again or not :/ Should I open and see what the update is like? Or leave and keep the good memories? Or is it not so bad after all? Do I really want to be hooked yet again if it's actually quite good?

It's not worth it. Leave and keep the good memories.

If you do log on though, can you accept me back into the clan? I just want to put my account there to be with friends.

Once again, farewell clash, I won't forget what you have given me. The is proof of that. :P But even though it's kind of hard, sometimes it's better to move on. This is one of those times. Even if my memories are not enough, there's always the Dkz forums. And so, I have no regrets.

After 3 years, Taz's journey through Coc finally ends. But I suppose that's what makes it beautiful.

This sounds familiar. It's almost like you've said something similar to this before. Almost :r I shall of course accept if I do go back on, who knows, I might do just that :P

Awww, you flatter me  The only regret I have is DKz falling apart :(

Nooooooo :'( :'( :'(
Remember all the good times we had together (that one time) where you kicked half my clan because I made you Co-Leader

You will be missed Tazzy, even if I didn't see you much. I am still trudging along, but I am getting a bit sick of it too. I got all maxed out cannons and mortars for TH9, and everything else is soo expensive...
